"As we walk the path into the 21st century, now more than ever we find hope in education which has a relevant connection to our cultural identity, that it might maintain and enhance our ways of knowing and guide us in our goal of self-determination."

Since its incorporation in 1997, FNAHEC membership has grown to include eleven adult and post-secondary institutions from Western Canada. The purpose of FNAHEC is to coordinate the efforts of its members to provide quality adult and higher education, controlled entirely by people of the First Nations.
